Is someone missing?
While the Clover Kingdom continues to recover from their recent attack, there are some that can not move on. What the devil did hurt people from all walks of life. On top of that, there are those that cannot accept Magic Parliament’s stay of executions. The servants of the devil have roamed free for far too long, and thus the Devil Banishers were born. After successfully kidnapping Marie in broad daylight, they turned their eyes onto Asta. Unfortunately, their tactic didn’t go quite as planned. Although they were successful in subduing Asta and Nero, they didn’t expect Noelle to show up. Still, the Devil Banishers didn’t walk a way empty-handed. Nero has been taken, and Asta remains knocked out cold.
On one hand, I’m glad we’re done with the anime original training. On the other hand, original arcs like this somewhat taint character progress. You kinda have to look the other way when the action is going on, but I’m still optimistic for what’s to come. At the very least, we’ll get to see more Damnatio. While he’s not responsible for this group, one of his subordinates is heavily involved. The scales of justice have fallen out of balance for a few. Anyhow, the agents of the devil have learned fear on this day. Enjoy seeking revenge for the fallen!
