Azur Lane T.V. Media Review Episode 7

by Yumiko

The battle never ends.

As both factions gather their strongest, Akagi plots for total victory. A normal battle upon the seas will no longer do. Pulling everyone into a unknown realm controlled by Sirens shall be their turning point. While the Sirens and Sakura Empire locked down the majority of Azur Lane’s forces, Enterprise entered a heated rematch against Kaga. However, this time things won’t end the same. This time Enterprise was knocked out of the skies. As she begun to sink into the ocean, Enterprise’s greatest fear gripped her. Another vision of her alternative-self flashed before her eyes, then she rose stronger than ever. Those before her no longer stood a chance. Kaga was taken down in a flash, and Akagi soon followed. Fortunately, her surge of power was only temporary. After striking down Akagi, Enterprise snapped back to normal. Though things will never be the same. She’s come to realize her greatest fear, the ocean.

There’s a good bit happening in this episode, and a lot of it isn’t quite clear. In fact, a few characters even claimed they had no clue what was going on. They’re not the only ones, so I’m sure we’re in for a lengthy explanation down the road. Moreover, there is one clue towards the future. When Enterprise came out of the ocean, Observer claimed she was the “key”. Furthermore, we haven’t seen the last of Akagi. Someone appears to have other plans for her first. She’ll be back stronger, though maybe not so stable. Anyhow, it’s another battle filled episode. Enjoy the rough waters!
