Date A Live Blu-ray Media Review Episode 13

by Yumiko

Love is blind!

Ever since Shido tested his dating skills upon Origami, she never let go. Her eyes are only for him, although the same can’t be said back. Unfortunately, Shido can’t refuse her. A date for two has been planned, yet things are going to be different this time. The full might of the Fraxinus crew has planned a date to make Origami fall out of love with him. Still, all their attempts did the opposite. No matter what Shido did, Origami’s affection for him rose to levels never seen before. There’s truly no shame between these two. Consequently, during their date, Tohka’s phone got patched in. Believing Shido was dumping her, she’s gone on a rampage. While Shido was able to quickly correct his mistake, he’ll need to help her relieve some built up stress. As such, another date between the boy and the Spirit that started this whole journey has commenced. Fortunately, Shido was rewarded for his efforts. It may have been a photo he never expected from her, but he’ll never forget the sight.

Once more, the best part about Date A Live is simply the dates. It’s where this show shines, and I can’t say the same for other anime romances out there. Shido truly is a master of his craft. Moreover, this post officially marks the end of season 1 coverage. We’ll never see the likes of it again, but there’s been a lot of good recent news for Date A Live. Looks like we’ll be seeing the Spirits for years to come. Let’s just hope they get the proper animated justice. Anyhow, would you date a piece of paper? Enjoy a day out with Origami!
