Is it over yet?
Rui and his family may be gone, but there’s still one demon on the mountain. Even if she’s Tanjirou’s little sister, there are no exceptions. The rules clearly state that all demons are the enemy, and Shinobu intends to follow said rules. Fortunately, Giyuu won’t allow her this kill. While he buys time, Tanjirou is ordered to flee with his sister. However, they didn’t make it far before Shinobu’s subordinate caught up to them. While running was all they had left, they only needed to live until a special announcement went out. Tanjirou and Nezuko have been saved, though they are now under arrest. They’ve been carried away to headquarters, where their fates will soon be decided. Before the Pillars and the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, they have much to explain.
If you were concerned about Tanjirou’s friends, well they’ve been saved too. Everyone that was still breathing has been taken back to be patched up. It’s going to be a long road to recovery, though. Moreover, the remaining episodes are going to be very slow paced. It was already dragging quite a bit during this episode, but that’s to be expected. Another major arc isn’t going to be started with only 5 episodes left. There’s a number of other matters to be sorted out first. Anyhow, ready to see some new faces? Enjoy a glimpse of the Pillars!
Let’s meet some Pillars. Tanjirou’s trial begins next time!
