All according to plan, right?
Creating 3 greater spirits, summoning one, and netting something unexpected has saved the lives of the children. A future path for each of them has been secured, however this is where their paths will split. Rimuru has completed one of Shizue’s lingering regrets. The 5 child summons now have plenty of growing to do, though in the meantime Rimuru must continue his own story. Regardless, this won’t be the last time they meet. Their paths are surely to cross again one day.
Today’s episode marks the end of the cannon story. Rimuru will be heading back home, although not before remembering all the great moments he’s had in his 2nd life. Additionally, they’ve foreshadowed many events to come. We’ll have to get a 2nd season for further developments, though. Moreover, remember that there will be 2 more episodes. They may be on the original side, nevertheless I’m sure they will be just as great. Anyhow, it’s time for a teary good-bye. Enjoy the happy send off!
