Black Clover T.V. Media Review Episode 67

by Yumiko

It’s a double date?!

Did you know every year there’s a big festival to celebrate each squads accomplishments? Normally this is a time for praise, though the Black Bulls have been known for going into the negative. Still, maybe this is a year for a big turn around. These Bulls have been knocking it out of the park recently. Moreover, Asta has invited two familiar faces to the festival. Kahono and Kiato have returned, and they will be made whole again. Asta did not forget about his friends from the Water Temple. Before departing from the Witches’ Forest, he requested some of the Queen’s healing magic. That magic will now restore two broken dreams. The dancing sword and the idol are back! Nevertheless, this is no time for tears. A festival full of fun awaits Asta, Noelle, Kahono, and Kiato. They didn’t plan for it, but this is a perfect opportunity for a double date. Great times are straight ahead, although there may be a misunderstanding or two in the way.

Today’s episode brings back up a theme that will continue throughout Black Clover’s running. During the double date, the lovers encountered a lost peasant child. Those surrounding the child only thought of her as unsightly, yet it was a royal who saved this child’s day. Noelle along with everyone else ensured she was returned to her mother safely. Still, the growing issues between the common folk and nobles can’t continue forever. This growing problem might even come back to bite them soon enough. Additionally, it should be noted that this episode was partially anime original. It fit in with everything else going on, though. Next week’s episode looks to be a lot more original, so we’ll see how that one goes. Anyhow, it’s time to bring Asta and Noelle closer together. Enjoy the fireworks!
