Sound the alarms!
Shido’s endless work to bring each Spirit into his fold continues. He’ll be wasting no time getting to know the latest one, too. A spacequake on the outskirts of town has brought forth Natsumi. This beautiful and busty Spirit was quick to catch onto Shido’s presence. However, what she was really seeking out was compliments. She’s got the perfect body, right? Unfortunately, receiving praise from Shido turns sour once the AST arrives. During the confusion of the attack, Natsumi made a mistake. It was only for a brief moment, but Natsumi revealed her true form. Now, Shido did not see her, though she believes he did. Seeing her real body will come at the cost of taking his life, yet these words meant something else coming from her. Natsumi has gone out of her way to destroy Shido’s personal life. Nevertheless, a fake will never beat the original. Impersonating Shido was never going to last with the crazy girls that surround him. Regardless, she won’t give up there. Natsumi wants to play a dangerous game.
There’s a lot I want to say about Date A Live receiving a third season. First, it’s honestly great to see the Spirits back in action. I’ve been a fan of this show for years, and I’ve even watched the first season 5 times now. However, watching a ton of Date A Live reveals a grim problem. This show is mostly a slideshow. Now, the first season covered this up pretty well. It was visually pleasing to look at all around. Sadly, the next season was a hard pill to swallow. Date A Live was given to a new studio with the death of AIC Plus+. Production IMS had a very rough televised airing, although they made some of it back up on the blu-ray release. Well, the trouble didn’t stop there, IMS faced death and lost. It wouldn’t be until a few years later till we got some good news. The dates would continue, but at the hands of J.C.Staff. I’m quite familiar with this studio’s work. They can be very hit or miss depending upon who is on staff. Toaru Kagaku no Railgun is a notable example of an excellent production to come from J.C.Staff. Unfortunately, Date a Live season 3 won’t be getting that type of love. This episode was quite hard to watch at times. If this is the quality we’re getting at episode 1, then things are only going down from here. So, prepare for a difficult 12 weeks, everyone. Anyhow, let’s get the dating game started. Enjoy the quality!
I’m honestly insulted, J.C.Staff. The iconic scene of Kotori flashing her panties for the audience either hooked you in, or turned you away. So, what on Earth is this… We’re 3 seasons in, only the real fans are watching now!
At least we got to see her in white one last time.
I’m a fool for falling for this 3 times now.
Well, I guess they were okay with showing something here.
