Big brain plays incoming!
Today’s focus is upon a few of the students from class 1-A who got split up. Momo must lead her small team to victory against overwhelming odds. Additionally, their opponents know the counters to all their quirks. The refined ladies of Seiai Academy are going all out to disable their prey. One wrong move could mean failure for our young heroes. All possibilities have been calculated by their foes, yet that doesn’t mean there’s no hope. Momo only needs one precise attack to win this battle. While the enemies surround them, Jirou makes use of Momo’s large amp. Finally, the tables have been turned. Unleashing a high frequency wave downs them all but one. As for their leader, well some last minute teamwork will be finishing her off.
Episode 17 is largely anime original. Momo’s team does pass the first half of the exam, but we’re never shown how it takes place in the manga. Now, while the original content did feel a tad dragged out, it does enhance the story. Some of these characters won’t be getting much spotlight going forward, so it’s good see them in action every now and then. Moreover, the cannon part of this episode was towards the end. Team Katsuki and Izuku are given set up on how they will conqueror this exam. How they plan to pull this off, well we’ll see next time. Anyhow, ready to see the high IQ plays? Enjoy the outplays!
