Time for a trip down memory lane.
The princess and her dashing guard remain on the run. These two may be currently stuck out in the woods, but there was a time where things were all good. A time when three children were the best of friends. Sadly, good times can’t last forever. As the seasons come and go, so do the people. The ideal prince that Yona long envisioned was not to be. One tragic incident has turned this entire kingdom upside down.
Episode 3 was for the most part a flashback to happier times. One of the more interesting flashbacks involved Hak’s feelings. As he got older he wanted to be around Yona less and less. Not because he disliked her, but because his feelings towards her were growing in a way he was unsure of. Still, that didn’t stop him from eventually becoming her personal guard. Moreover, our broken princess is still shattered over her father’s death and Su-won’s betrayal. Her feelings towards Su-won are especially complex at the moment. He murdered her father, yet she holds tightly onto his birthday gift. She’ll have to open her eyes to reality soon, or else. Anyhow, it’s time to remember those golden moments. Enjoy the flashbacks!
