Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld T.V. Media Review Episode 14

by Yumiko

Time’s up.

With a little over 2,000 reinforcements at her back, Asuna and her forces now have a fighting chance. The American horde may soon reconsider their stance upon Underworld. Elsewhere, Bercouli demonstrated the true power behind his blade. Though he may never be able to reach Emperor Vector in the present, he can cut him down from the past. The Time Piercing Sword is a sword that slashes time, after all. While Alice may no longer be in immediate danger, this was Bercouli’s final act. He’ll be watching the remainder of this fight from above. Unfortunately, Gabriel isn’t done trying to secure Alice. Diving back into Underworld as Emperor Vector won’t be possible, but transferring his GGO account will do just as well. Subtilizer, the entity known for snuffing out souls shall soon join the fray.

Back on the Ocean Turtle, Kirito’s vitals have started to pick up activity. In particular, the moments when Asuna, Leafa, and Sinon dove into Underworld stimulated Kirito’s lost sense of self. Using this as a basis, Higa believes they may be able to restore Kirito using their memories. Within those closest to him, he is very much still alive. Unfortunately, it won’t be possible to extract that data inside the Sub Control Room. On top of that, they can not wait for the situation inside the Ocean Turtle to be defused. If at any point Kirito is disconnected from the STL, he’ll never be able to reconnect. After formulating the safest plan possible, Higa volunteered to be the one to go out and do the heavy lifting. However, he won’t be going alone. A man named Yanai shall be joining him. Anyhow, there’s no way this plan will go smoothly. Enjoy ending the emperor’s reign!
