No nightmare lasts forever.
With only moments left before Misaka wipes Academy City off the map, Gunha and Touma rallied together for one more attempt. Putting his life on the line, Touma unleashed the full force of Imagine Breaker upon Misaka. Before the jaws of the Dragon King, Misaka’s nightmare was dispelled in an instant. After returning to her normal-self, the second day of the Daihasei Festival began to fade away. Despite all that she had been through, Misaka couldn’t let this day go before checking in on all her friends. Those closest to her had their memories restored, though some things weren’t quite accurate. Misaki still can’t afford to let Exterior’s existence be known. Nonetheless, she can live with a bit of embarrassment on Misaki’s behalf. As long as things can return to normal, Misaka can go on with these results.
The remainder of the Daihasei Festival went off without a hitch, though this arc isn’t over. Following the defeat of Gensei, Misaki probed his mind to ensure an anti-virus for the Misaka Network. However, finding out about the virus wasn’t the only thing she learned. In the wake of her new-found knowledge, she’s taken in the captured Mitori. Together they will lead us into the last leg of this journey. Anyhow, they all deserve a happy ending. Enjoy an unexpected bonfire dance!
We’re not done with this arc just yet. Join us for one more next Wednesday.
