Dreams are never simple.
With summer long behind them, Katarina and friends must now face a difficult exam. If they’re unable to pass, then they’ll have to repeat the year, and that’s a fate Katarina must avoid at all costs. Now, this test won’t be in the classroom. They’ll be exploring ancient ruins in teams. Using everything they’ve learned in class, they must seek out a magic stone. However, no one should take this treasure hunt lightly. Within these ruins are deadly traps and obstacles only magic users can overcome. Unfortunately, they don’t call her Bakarina for no reason. Although her team was able to take care of every trap she trips off, she got separated from her friends in the confusion. Fearing for the worst, all her friends regrouped to find her. While they were putting together a plan to find Katarina, she was off collecting mushrooms for survival. During this time, she absentmindedly found the magic stone. Even with her quest completed, she managed to put her life in jeopardy. Fortunately, Sophia was able to find her hanging on for dare life. Refusing to let her go, a mysterious magic saved them at the very last moment. Thinking nothing of it, everyone was just thankful to see Katarina in one piece.
Katarina may be alive and well, but there are two major concerns moving forward. First, Sophia had a strange dream prior to her exam. Though she couldn’t understand what to make of it upon waking up, it would seem Katarina wasn’t the only soul to reincarnate within this world. The dare friend she made in her first life, Atsuko Sasaki, has been right beside her all this time. Sasaki’s wish of meeting her best friend again has come true, though she hasn’t realized it. Moreover, during the exam a mysterious figure was following Katarina around. While she never picked up on this, Maria noticed something strange behind Katarina when they found her. Anyhow, never press the big red button. Enjoy setting off every trap within a 100-foot radius!
