The other half may have been romance heavy, though the same can not be said here. Similar to Assassin versus Lancer, Berserker versus Saber was the big fight of Lost Butterfly. We’ve seen these two go at it many times, but never like this. Saber Alter is a force to be reckoned with. Even with that said, Archer was the true hero of that night. Not only did he preform the most noble of sacrifices, he gave his arm to Shirou. Let’s hope Shirou made the right choice in giving up his ideals for Sakura.
Before heading down to the media, there’s only one other matter I’d like to bring up. More often than not, anime tends to miss out on nailing horror scenes. Fortunately, they did Sakura justice. The transition between candy chewing and bone crunching was perfect. On top of that, Gilgamesh’s reaction to the monster he was facing. If even Gilgamesh can show a hint of terror, then you know it’s gotta be good. Anyhow, let’s not delay the action any further. Enjoy this year’s holiday gift!
