With Kirito in tow, Alice has returned to the front lines. She’s reported what she saw at the eastern gate, though further bad news awaited her. Even after months of training, they’ve only amassed a force of 3,000. Additionally, only thirteen Integrity Knights will be found upon this battlefield. Between Chudelkin’s prior meddling, and having an entire empire to watch over, their forces are stretched thin. Nonetheless, Alice’s return was a crucial one. She may not realize it, but she’s the strongest knight among her order. Their plan has her as a center piece, yet it comes with a cost. Once Alice drains the resources surrounding the eastern gate, neither side will be able to go all out. Still, up against 50,000, they have no choice. Holding the choke point with superior tactics is their only hope.
Aside from war planning, Kirito received some attention. Prior to his current condition, his actions changed a number of people. Whether it was a rescue operation or crossing blades, those that crossed his path were eager to see him again. Among the lot, the trainees have learned the fate of their mentors. As devastated as they were, they’ve been assigned a new task. Once Alice heads for the front lines, Kirito will need someone by his side. Ronie and Tiese have proudly taken up this role. Moreover, Alice Synthesis Thirty isn’t the emotionless knight she use to be. Her time with Kirito has changed her more than she knows. Kirito’s charms have captured another one.
