Prepare to sortie!
Long ago, beings from another world forced humanity out of the seas. Unable to combat the threat at hand, four nations banded together. Under the banner of Azur Lane, they achieved great feats. Among them were the creation of fleet girls and defeating the Sirens. Sadly, the peace they enjoyed was never meant to last. While the Eagle Union and Royal Navy remained strong allies, the same could not be said for The Sakura Empire and Iron Bloods. Their isolation drew eyes, though little could done. Unfortunately, these two nations have been quite busy. A new alliance has been created known as the Crimson Axis, and they’ve come to start a new war. Believing only the strong should control the future, a declaration was announced. However, a simple war is the least of Azur Lane’s problems. The Crimson Axis have combined their might with Siren technology. Today’s attack was merely a test, although just what were they testing?
Episode 1 was an introduction with a whole lot of action. We’ve met several characters, though a lot were just in the background. In fact, we’re probably not going to meet most of the cast. The source material has over 300 fleet girls and counting. So, only the most popular girls are going to shine in the anime. A few names you’ll come to recognize are Javelin, Laffey, Ayanami, Unicorn, Enterprise, Cleveland, Akagi, and Kaga. However, I’m sure there’s plenty more to come. Azur Lane is massive, after all. Moreover, I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the plot. The main allure of Azur lane is the girls, and this anime is doing a fine job at that. As you’ll see below, this anime is filled with fan service. If you’re a fan of the game, then you already know. It’s always been about the waifus. Anyhow, here’s hoping no ones shipfu sinks. Enjoy the test!

This was only just a taste. We’ve got plenty more beauties to cover next week!
Yea let’s hope so, cause seriously if any of them die, I swear to god, I’m gonna be so mad, I generaly hate when anime characters die, ESPECIALLY girls. Add some innocence and cuteness to the girls and I’d murder anyone who did it for good if I could..
I’m hoping they learned from another production. No one wins when a shipfu is sunk. Fortunately, it looks like the action hasn’t been deadly in the least. Let’s just hope they keep that pace.
Im really glad this got an anime adaptation, never played the game but I just love the overall idea of it. Plus, this is a waifu galore which is just fantastic, Hopefully none of the ship waifus’ll die cause that would make me both pissed and sad, ESPECIALLY if something would happen to the loli ships… then I could go on a murder spree.
It felt like I will be losing this opportunity to watch this after what you said. It scared me a bit.
Without a doubt. This is a waifu focused anime, so it’ll always be waiting for you.
OK. So it’s not too late to watch this after it finishes?
Azur Lane and many more will be here until the sun burns out. There’s no problem with pacing yourself.
I enjoyed every minute of it. Here’s hoping it remains strong throughout.
Its beautiful! And Ending is crazy!
I am probably not going to watch this until later because I have too much on my mind. The screenshots looked nice but I wish I can rest for a while.
