Fatality?
They may have lost some friends along the way, but Jeanne is still determined as ever. Those that have gathered around her are ready to set out. A major battle is about to take place to determine if France shall fall or stand another day. Orléans is the current front line of the war, but if broken England will easily conquer all of southern France. Fortunately, Montmorency and Jeanne have arrived just in time to reinforce the line. Upon this battlefield a clash like no other happened. When the black Ulysses appeared all hope appeared lost. Nevertheless, Jeanne, the white Ulysses shall usher in a new dawn. Using her power of acceleration, she has claimed this day in the name of France. However, England will not take this defeat lightly. The Duke has hired a monster hunter.
Did you hear there’s a saint among our forces? The French people have been whipped up into a frenzy due to Jeanne. A common man no longer fears death fighting alongside a saint. Unfortunately, this sudden urge to take the fight to the English army plays right into the Duke’s hands. The monster hunter, Glasdale, wields a Holy Lance forged from a Philosopher’s Stone. If a Ulysses is hurt by this lance they can not regenerate. Now, baiting out Jeanne was simple. Once the enemy commander appeared she rushed out into battle. However, his would be her undoing. The black Ulysses has thrown herself against Jeanne in order to set up the perfect heart piercing shot. Pinned down and unable to request any assistance, Jeanne has fallen.
Is this the end for our beloved saint? Well, killing off the main heroine and the name of the show is rather unlikely. There’s also the fact that history play a part in this story. If you know anything about Jeanne, then you will know how she met her true end. Regardless, for the time being, Jeanne and Philip had their hearts torn into pieces. It’ll be sometime before we see their ultimate fates, yet for now they are among the dead. So, where does this leave our young alchemist knight? We’ll be in for quite the tale for the 2nd half of the show. Anyhow, it’s time to say good-bye. Enjoy her final battle?
