Ready for light versus darkness?
Licht’s arrival was sudden and destructive. He has come to put an end to all those that would harm those dare to him. Even Asta currently stands little chance against light speed magic. Luckily, Noelle’s call for back up has finally arrived. Yami is on the scene, and will be displaying the true power of a magic knight captain. It’s an all out clash between these two, but neither one will stand above the other today.
On the surface today’s episode is a classic battle between light and darkness. However, there’s a lot more at play here. If you’ve been following along, then you know the Eye of the Midnight Sun is after revenge. During this episode, “Licht” told a rather vague story behind his vengeance. He was formerly apart of a group that was loved by mana. Their control over mana was so great that humans viewed them as gods. However, overtime jealously and fear caused the humans to turn against them. In the end his people were wiped out. Now, do note that this story is being told from a single individual’s point of view. The truth behind that night has yet to be revealed.
Today’s episode had a heavy focus on Licht and Yami, but let’s not forget about our MC. Asta still has a role to play, too! The battle against Licht was also a time for learning. Normally Licht’s light based magic would be near impossible to keep up with. Although Yami knows just the ability to handle such foes. By using ki he is able to read his opponents before they even attack. During the battle, Asta is taught about ki. His ability to learn may be creepy fast, but it was just in time to down, Valtos.
Now for the most important part of the post, the media. Before we dive on down, let me just say this episode was a step in the right direction. It wasn’t perfect, but the art and animation were way above the normal for this series. Anyhow, enough chatter. Enjoy the battle!
