Beatless T.V. Media Review Episode 9

by Yumiko

What would you do to survive?

Well, in Lacia’s case she’ll be first to act. After last week stand still negotiations, Arato, must now make a firm choice. Go after this hIE who shares Lacia’s registration number or risk losing her. Of course there was only ever one choice to begin with. The race between Arato and Shiori is on! It’s a race to the airport to either scramble the numbers or confirm the numbers. However, things don’t go quite as planned for both parties. Arato and Lacia planned to scramble the code from afar. This would of went well, but they underestimated, Methode. After the initial plans failure things turn into an explosive brawl. Moreover, Shiori’s plans end in quite the catastrophe. From the moment she threaten Lacia she had already lost. Lacia not only got the best of them, but also planned ahead for back up. And to top things off, Shiori, is being betrayed. Methode, has already secured her survival. Shiori was nothing but a pawn to be disposed of. Fortunately, a last minute hero comes to her aid before the worse could happen.

Episode 9 really highlights the theme of AI versus humanity. Society believes they are still in control, but they are dead wrong. AI surpassed human intelligence more than 50 years ago. The Lacia-class hIEs make this very clear. They will do what they must in order to secure their spot in the world. So, if you were wondering why hIEs face such hostilities now you know why. AI is the future and humans will just be the pawns. Anyhow, that’s it for Beatless until the 30th. It’s another intermission episode next week, so enjoy today’s featured Beatless media!
