Don’t believe in their lies.
Jumping back to where the story left off, Chise, is being held at knife point. She was also dropped a truth bomb about the ultimate fate that awaits her. However, the words of the sorcerers do not faze her. She holds the words that, Elias, had once told her dearly. Chise, is now a part of his family. Now with nothing to fear, Chise, breaks free and is again able to begin cleansing the filth. Upon touching the black ooze she is taken back to see how this whole tragic event began. Matthew, a desperate husband looking to find a cure for his wife illness seeks out a wandering sorcerer. This sorcerer had something else in mind and turned poor Matthew into a demon. The man was led to believe the only way to save his wife was to murder the local cats and feed her their blood. Eventually, Mina, is healthy enough to go out, but wonders where her husband is all the time now. She soon walks in on the truth and it’s too much to bare. Her next drinking of blood would be her last. Matthew, seeing the results loses it, but he too must pay for what he had done. The King of the Cats swiftly takes him down, yet the damage caused by these events would be a lingering stain. Moreover, the original task at hand still remained. The souls of Mina, Matthew, and all the slain cats must be put to rest. Finally, a send off they will always remember set things right.
