Rain rain go away…
The festival date won’t be ruined by a little bit of rain. Thankfully the weather is also willing to cooperate with them. Once the rain let up it was time for fireworks. Now, such beautiful scenery calls for a romantic moment. As we all know, Iori had fallen for Hanabi since the moment they laid eyes upon one another. Tonight’s the night for the perfect kiss. Unfortunately, like all good romantic moments they were interrupted. Maybe next time, Iori.
Overall the media for Tachibanakan was very smooth. This is a short form anime, so there was a lot less to mess up on. Still, there was one glaring problem. Censorship was present throughout the majority of episodes. Even this very last episode had a scene with censorship. Luckily, we know that should be all going away with the blu-ray release. Still, I can’t say I’m ever fan of censorship. Censors are a real pain to work with when it comes to making stitches or WebMs. Although the censorship wasn’t the worse. Most of the fan service can easily be seen even with the light beams or convenient objects.
Back when I was planning out the spring season I really wanted to cover another yuri themed show. Citrus was quite popular here, and girls loving girls has always been a favored treat of mine. So, looking back after 12 weeks, I can say it was well worth it. It doesn’t quite match up to Citrus, but Tachibanakan has its own cute charm. Moreover, if you enjoyed the show, then I highly recommend you read the manga. You should also start from the beginning if you do. The anime had to cut quite a bit in order to fit into the 3 minute time slot. They also skipped around a fair amount, too. Anyhow, ready for the fireworks? Enjoy the final date!
I hope you didn’t think this was the end. Tachibanakan To Lie Angle will return here in due time, so look forward to it!
