Is this the end?
Well, its been one long adventure. However, all journeys must come to a stop. Previously we left off with our girls finding a submarine. The submarine appeared to be a bit suspicious, but everything seems okay for the moment. Moreover, Cut, uses one of his abilities to connect the camera to the submarine. He pulls up all the pictures the girls had taken and more. Dozens of folders are opened up showing both pictures and videos. The videos are especially interesting to the girls since it represents a world they have never known. Additionally, one of the videos played showed pieces of how their world came to an end. War torn their world asunder. It’s a lot to take in, but a beautiful sight to behold.
Meanwhile, after a night rest the girls awaken to quite the scare. Yuu, is spotted by a giant version of Cut. This giant unknown sneaks up on her and swallows her up whole. Chi, is scared beyond belief, but she won’t let Yuu be taken so easily. The chase is on, yet once the unknown is spotted Yuu is simply sticking out of its mouth. Yuu, is spat out and the unknown starts speaking to the girls. The unknown readily begins to explain the whole situation. One, they do not eat humans, they are simply after unstable materials to make them stable. The materials they consume are their source of energy. Two, their mission is to cleanse the earth and then enter a deep hibernation. Once the mission is complete all activity on earth will come to a halt. Lastly, they are thankful to the girls for bringing, Cut, to them. The unknowns are required to stay in a group as they carry out the mission. Cut, doesn’t want to leave, but duty calls after all. After all the talking the unknowns depart for the higher levels of the city. Those layers have yet to be cleaned. As for our girls, well their adventure will continue on for some time to come. The upper levels await!
Well, we leave off on a pretty big reveal. Now there’s a lot of questions that can be asked here, but the only way to really find out is to read the manga. The manga is currently on-going, so it may be some time before things are really revealed. Still, there might be hope for our girls up in the higher levels of the city. Only time will tell where their adventure takes them. I have high hopes for the duo though.
Finally, I’d like to say if you haven’t given this series a try then please do so. Even I was a bit hesitant when I first picked this up. Even with just two characters the show holds interests from start to finish. The adventures may be simple to the viewers, but for the girls everything is new. And for a world just for two the commentary and actions were beautiful. Even the art held up well throughout the show. Anyhow, let’s get a move on. Enjoy the media!
