Let the testing begin!
Episode 4 is a combination of a massive introduction of numerous characters and the majority of the magical knights exam. Characters such as: Rebecca, Noelle, Yami, and Finral have all made their anime debut. In addition to these characters the entire leadership of the magical knights have been introduced as well. On the exam side of things, Asta, has quite the upward battle to prove himself. Each task within the exam requires one to use magic. As we all know at this point, Asta, has no magical power what so ever. All he’s able to do is put on a yelling display. However, the final task is in Asta’s favor. This task is a simple duel between opponents to show off their combat skills. Such a task is right up Asta’s alley due to his very unique ability. It only took but one swing to get a few heads turning Asta’s way.
Okay, so at this point I can only assume the anime has bigger plans in store. Why do I think this? Well the pacing is really slow. If you’ve read the manga then you know Black Clover is a string of non-stop battles. With this in mind I can only picture future seasons of Black Clover to come. Moreover, the art appears to be keeping consistent so far. Nothing too flashy this week, but there was a lot of introduction time to get through. Next week should be the end of the exam and placements will be sentenced out. Anyhow, let’s get to that media. Enjoy this week stitching feast!
